Story Pattern of Director Murugadoss

Director Murugadoss is known for his gripping, intensive storytelling methods. But how many of you know he is attracted to one particular story pattern? Yes, like most of the creators, Director Murugadoss too gets connected with a pattern. It is known as "Hide and Seek & One searching for the other." I am not surprised to see his recent outing as a story writer in 'Raangi' starring Trisha in the lead role. His pattern continues even if he is not directing it.

Ramana - The protagonist does everything against the Antagonist and hides from their eyes. A vigilant police officer goes on the mission of searching for the culprit.  The antagonist will have the question mark of who is doing ill against him. The protagonist lives as another person due to his bad past.

Ghajini - The protagonist goes in search of the Antagonist despite his mental issues. The antagonist will have the question mark of who is doing ill against him. The protagonist lives as another person due to his bad past.

7am Arivu - The love interest goes in search of the Protagonist who is unaware of his forefathers. The Antagonist is in search of the hiding Protagonist.

Thuppakki - Both the Protagonist and the Antagonist are unaware of each other and they are equally interested to meet each other.

Kaththi - The protagonist hides in a village to disguise someone's name. After the Protagonist takes stiff measures, the media reaches out to capture his mission. Corporate Villian has a question mark of who is doing ill against him.

Spyder - The Antagonist does all ill things in disguise. The protagonist is on a mission to search for the person who does bad things against society. Using technology and societal help, the Protagonist catches the Antagonist.

Darbar - The protagonist is on a mission to kill all the bad guys in society. The foil characters will have a question mark on why the Protagonist is against him. They finally learn that the Protagonist is in search of the Antagonist who is not in the country for a long time.

In his recent writing with the movie 'Raangi' also his pattern of the Antagonist hiding somewhere and doing fraudulent things against society. The protagonist is in search of the hiding Antagonist. In all his movies, conflicts alone change based on the problems that the protagonist face. But, the theme of Human VS Human remains same. This is why the Tamil movie "Mouna Guru" attracted him. He directed the movie in Hindi making changes to the story.
