Five stages of story construction

The first part of the story writing is placing the accumulation of scattered ideas at one place. At this point, your subconscious mind wants everything to be told in one story. In reality, the best ideas may not suit the story's ideology. Not all ideas can be materialized in one story.

Only in the second stage - the story discussion and analysis part, you will know what to keep and what to eliminate. The writer should welcome positive criticism and allow changes in the story. If required, the writer can go back to stage one and bring in more ideas and thought processes to expand the story.

The third stage is all about outlining the story with a template based on the genre of the film. This may or may not be the final screenplay of the story. The scenes/events can be swapped based on the flow of the story. Characters, Events are formed in this stage.

The fourth stage is all about finalizing the characters, and events according to the natural way of storytelling. The perfect order helps the audience to engage with the story.

The fifth stage is about the visual presentation of the story. The birth of the storyboard happens here. Finalization of the artist, and technicians, and placing the right people at the right place helps the story to be told in a better AV format. In case, if you find issues in the story flow, you can go back to the outline/screenplay to make necessary corrections.
